Chateau Slavkov – Austerlitz

One of the most massive Baroque monuments will surprise you not only by its size, but also by the interesting history. In the Middle Ages, it was the seat of the Order of the German Knights, and afterwards it had belonged to the important Kaunitz family for many centuries. Perhaps by this point you already know that here, in December 1805, Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte celebrated his triumph over the armies of the European Powers on a nearby battlefield. In addition to exploring the beautiful halls, you can also take a stroll through the chateau park and Baroque alleys.
